Operation Snake Eater

Character List

The Virtuous Mission

The story begins with Snake being sent on a mission to the Soviet Union to
find a scientist who did not want to assist the soviets. This mission was done
with the support of The Boss. When Snake finds the scientist, the scientist
reveals a weapon larger than a tank, but just as mobile and that can launch
nukes. Before they can make an escape, they run into Major Ocelot. After some
banter and Snake giving Ocelot a few pointers, Snake defeats Ocelot, but spares
Ocelot his life. When Snake almost makes his way back, he is stopped by The Boss
on a bridge, who is accompanied by Volgin. The Boss fights Snake, takes the
scientist for the third party, and announces that she no longer supports the
United States. Snake is pushed off the bridge, barely surviving, and being picked
up later. The boss supplied Volgin with a Davy Crockett Weapon System, and some
nuclear warheads. Volgin carelessly shoots one off.

Naked Snake

Snake Eater, Beginning

Nobody was supposed to know that the United States would be present in that
location, so after pictures surfaced that an American place had dropped off a
soldier, and then a nuclear weapon went off, tensions started to rise. The
president discussed with the soviet leader on what actions should be done to
keep everybody civil. The soviet leader states that if they can retrieve the
scientist and stop this third party from springing up anymore, then they will
continue to not engage in nuclear war. After Snake recovers, he is sent back
to once again, recover the scientist, but also, stop Volgin. This mission was
called Operation Snake Eater.

EVA

Snake Eater, Middle

Snake is told to meet up with someone going under the code name ADAM, but
when Snake gets to the meeting point, someone who is going under the name EVA
greets him, stating that she was sent instead of ADAM. Eva supplies Snake with
some weaponry, until they are interrupted by Ocelot. Snake humbles Ocelot again,
and again, sparing Ocelot. Snake then makes his way onward, picking up clues to
find the scientist and stop Volgin. Snake is eventually interrupted by The Boss,
who tells Snake that she is happy that he lived, but wishes that he would stop
pursuing. She then also states that the team she fought with during World War
Two would try and stop Snake. Snake continues on afterwards and fights each of
the members. During this process, Snake loses his eye.

Snake Eater, Finale

Snake finds out that the Shagohod, the weapon that the scientist had described
earlier on, was completed. Snake tries to blow up the Shagohod before it is ever
used, but Volgin stops him. Volgin also discovers that Eva is a spy, and tells The
Boss to dispose of Eva. This leaves Volgin, Ocelot, and Snake in the room. Volgin
tells Ocelot to dispose of Snake, but Ocelot refuses to do so. Snake and Volgin fight,
leading to Snake getting away. In a rage Volgin powers the Shagohod with his electrical
powers. Snake is forced to take that down as well. After fully escaping, Snake is
confronted by The Boss. She explains to Snake that she is a scapegoat for the United
States to maintain a good image, and as a soldier, has to kill her.

The Boss

Snake Eater, Epilogue

Snake, struck with grief after being forced to kill his mentor, appears before several
generals and the president, who are all applauding Snake for his great skills, and loyalty.
Snake is granted the code name Big Boss, the only person who could surpass The Boss. Snake
realizes that being a soldier for a country alone is not that smart of an idea, and leaves
the United States Military himself, and starts to create his own private militia without a
dedication to a country, only a cause.
